MEMBERSHIP EXPLAINED

There are several factors that affect our membership pricing: Increased direct costs (eg BNSW charges, utilities), CPI Increase, and improvements to the quality of our products.

Maitland Basketball remains committed to continuous improvement by:

  • Committing to an additional employee, whose role will include domestic and referee development, court supervision, and development programs.

  • Gloryleague game video platform, offering full game video, highlights, and stats for all competitions played at Maitland Federation Centre.

Maitland Basketball continues to offer the most affordable membership and game pricing for Basketball Associations in the Eastern Region.

COMPETITION GAME FEES

SUMMARY OF KEY COMPETITION BY-LAWS :

FORFEITS

With teams paying up front, we would expect there to be far fewer forfeits (see fill-in players below), however, if you cannot field a team, it is essential that you notify MBA as early as possible (not later than 12 noon on the day of the game).

An un-notified forfeit (no show or called in after 12 midday on the day of the game) will result in a forfeit fine of $80 (senior) and $60 (junior) per game forfeited with late or no notification.

Please note that with upfront game payments for all competitions, it is possible to utilise fill-in players in almost all situations, and we would expect that a team should be able to field enough players to complete a game in all situations.

FILL-IN PLAYERS

The rules for fill-in players will not be affected by this rule, as long as all team members have paid their game fees for the competition. Please note that fill-in players must be registered members.

MBA will continue working to improve the quality of services we offer to our members. If you have any questions or feedback regarding the details above, please do not hesitate to contact us at competitions@maitlandbasketball.com.au

HEAT POLICY

In accordance with the Basketball NSW Heat Policy, Maitland Basketball Association is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all players, officials, and spectators during periods of extreme heat. During such conditions, staff will actively monitor the temperature and overall environment within the stadium to assess playing conditions. Should it be determined that games need to be cancelled due to excessive heat, this decision will be made in line with the policy’s guidelines and communicated to all members via team managers’ emails or program contact lists and shared on social media after 2:00pm on the affected day.
