Ford Aussie Hoops Centre of the Year Winner

We’re thrilled to announce that Maitland Basketball Association has been crowned the 2025 Ford Aussie Hoops Centre of the Year!

This remarkable achievement is a testament to the our team’s commitment to delivering an

exceptional experience for young participants and the wider community through the Ford

Aussie Hoops program.

Ford Aussie Hoops declared “Maitland Basketball Association’s commitment to creating an

outstanding basketball experience and inspiring young players truly set their centre apart.”

Our goal in delivering the Ford Aussie Hoops program to our club’s youngest players is to

create a fun, inclusive, community-focused environment that helps them develop a lifelong

love of basketball.

This outstanding honour is well-deserved recognition of our dedicated coaches especially

Coach Dan, who leads the program, and Coach Abbey, Coach Jordan and the other Junior

Development coaches in their commitment to providing an outstanding basketball

experience for every player.

A big thank you also goes to all the families and Aussie Hoopers who have supported the

Ford Aussie Hoops program at Maitland over the years. You make this community what it is!

As the winning centre we received $5,000, national recognition as the Ford Aussie Hoops

Centre of the Year, and media coverage to showcase our achievements.
